LEARNING OBJECTIVE

This session will provide delegates with an in depth look at the Right to Acquire process. Delegates will look at the background to RTA alongside RTA applications, offer notices and what to do post completion.

AGENDA

The session will be facilitated by the Chartered Institute of Housing. An outline of the session is shown below:

  • Background to the RTA, legislation and Homes England guidance.
  • Verifying RTA applications and the involvement of other teams across the organisation (Valuations & Discounts).
  • Offer notices, delay procedures, property plans and conveyancing.
  • Post completion and the repayment of discount and service charges.
  • The regulatory framework.
