The question of cladding has dominated the building safety agenda since the Grenfell tragedy in 2017. SEC have compiled a briefing note to share knowledge and best practices to the common challenges our Members are facing in regards to re-cladding works.
The note has been published on the back of a recent Member’s Briefing event held on 16 February 2021. The event was supported by Birketts Solicitors and Axis Europe.
The briefing note highlights what building safety funds are available and includes comments on:
- Government funding
- how to apply for funding – tips, tricks and potential pitfalls
- ESW1 forms
- the contractors position on re-cladding
