LEARNING OBJECTIVE   

At the end of this session, each delegate will have a fuller understanding of the theory of contact administration through examples used within the JCT Intermediate Building Contract. Each delegate will be provided with a pre-session workbook to support their learning on the day alongside a copy of the JCT Intermediate Building Contract.

AGENDA

The session will be facilitated by David Ashby, Director of Strategic Development at SEC. An outline of the session is shown below:

  • Identify the clauses, explore the definition, and discuss practical examples in JCT 2016 Intermediate Building Contract that relate to time, cost, quality
  • Understand how to deal with typical problems such as delays, loss and expense and extensions of time
  • How to apply clauses to real world scenarios through group exercises and discussions of simulated contract scenarios
