Dover District Council needed an experienced contractor to complete electrical inspection reports and any associated remedial works for over 800 of their properties. Due to the nature of the projects we advised that a direct award to Aaron Services through our Internal & External Building Works framework was the best route to market for them and their organisation.
The resulting contract achieved 100% EICR compliance. It was also 100% on time and to budget. The contract was scheduled to commence in April 2020 and complete in September 2020. COVID-19 forced a delay to programme commencement (until July). Thanks to Aaron’s flexible and effective resource management, all required reports were completed before the end of August 2020.
Real-time technology provided contract efficiencies – Aaron’s in-house ICT team developed a secure real-time interface with DDC’s system – providing a transparent audit trail.
Third Party certificate verification ensured prompt and compliant completion – Aaron’s system directly interfaced with the Corgi CDMS. The system verified the accuracy of all 800 certificates – 100% passed first time.
Aaron Services invested in the local community – Aaron’s appointed an apprentice from the DDC community to gain experience on this scheme as part of their existing course.
