Structural Engineer Services
This Lot of our Consultancy Services Framework covers the provision of structural engineer services.
What is structural engineering?
Structural engineering is a branch of civil engineering. A great deal of what they do involves designing structures such as buildings, bridges, tunnels, etc. Once an architect or design-builder designs a building’s layout, then it’s the structural engineer’s responsibility to calculate the loads, fit the structure to the architecture and decide on what structural systems to use. They also inspect structures both during and after construction to ensure that they are properly constructed.
Structural engineers are sometimes involved in the demolition / dismantling of a structure, either permanently or in order to repair it.
What services are covered in this Lot?
Consultants on this Lot are able to manage all tasks referenced above. They are all structural engineers with experience working in the social housing sector.
