This is a full day training course covering the do’s and don’ts of successful tendering. It’s been designed to help contractors improve your bidding strategy, and do more work with the public sector.
The course will be ran by our Director of Strategic Partnerships, David Smith, and our Training & Development Partner, Alex Tooke.

- 10:10 – Public Procurement: The ongoing changes – What procurement routes are available to you, and how have these changed given the new procurement regulations in force from February 2025. We’ll explain the changes and what they mean for you as a supplier.
- 11:15 – Setting you up for success: Pre-bid strategies – An interactive session to help you prepare to bid and set you up with the best chance to win. Asking if you should bid at all, and what to look out for. We’ll also learn how to build your bid map and key pre-tender information.
- 12:00 – Lunch and Networking
- 13:00 – Navigating Cost Models and Quality Submissions – Our Head of Technical Services, Darrel will explore how approach cost models, and writing compelling responses to quality questions. We’ll emphasise the importance of precision and thoroughness and help you avoid common pitfalls to ensure your submission stands out in the right way.
- 14:05 – How to work with SEC – We’ll look at how we work and our services to support you in doing the right things per and post bid.
- 15:00 – Test your knowledge and what’s coming up – An interactive re-cap of the day, followed by an overview of our upcoming supplier training sessions.
COST
Tickets cost £70+ VAT. This is a subsidised rate as part of our re-investment back into the sector. The training is only open to commercial organisations such as contractors and consultants.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day and are included in the price.
