Ben How is head of Retrofit at the Frankham Group, with 20 years of sector experience, Ben is a leading voice on the relationship of robust retrofit and healthy homes. Focusing on housing performance, the remediation of damp and mould, and thermal inefficiency through retrofit; Ben has supported innovative projects including large scale SHDF, EnergieSprong, Enerphit, and PAS2035 schemes.
In this session, he discusses retrofit, Healthy Homes and social housing regulations and compliance risks—including Awaab’s Law and the forthcoming Decent Homes and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards— and asset management strategies, ensuring homes are not just energy-efficient, but fundamentally safe and comfortable.
He will also discuss the importance of understanding retrofit in relation to compliance, delivery at scale, the PAS2035 process and lessons learnt from previous schemes.
