Earlier this year we donated £10,000 to support Fresh Visions’ Motivate Sussex project. The project launched in December 2017 and focusses on supporting young people aged 10-16 to lead healthy lifestyles and to access employment and further learning.
As part of our legacy support we are reaching out to our network to ask that you take part in their ‘Big Give Christmas Campaign 2021’. As a contractor / consultant working with SEC, you may be aware of Optivo’s in-house charity Fresh Visions. Fresh Visions supports children, young people and adults who face extreme disadvantage because of poverty, domestic abuse, lack of education and social exclusion.
Once of their projects is Thrive Domestic Abuse Counselling Service, which aims to equip children who are survivors of domestic abuse with the skills to overcome the trauma they have experienced through trauma informed counselling. This project has reached over 1,000 children since it began, giving each child the platform to talk through their experiences with a trained counsellor, with an aim that they will have the emotional resilience to go in to adulthood and thrive. https://www.freshvisions.org.uk/our-projects/thrive.aspx Fresh Visions are asking if between 12:00 PM, 30 November 2021 to 12:00 PM, 7 December 2021 you’re able to donate & support their project to reach their campaign target of £8k. 100% of the money received will go directly towards children in need of this invaluable support. We know it has been an exceptionally difficult year for everyone, but for children living in a chaotic home witnessing or being victims themselves of domestic abuse, every year is unbearable. Let’s work together to help them and give them the opportunity to THRIVE.
