We’re thrilled to welcome another colleague to team SEC this month – Amy Silkstone joins us as our new Senior Procurement Manager (Strategy). She’ll support our Directors with designing and delivering our procurement strategy, all while continuously improving to our products and services. This will include working towards our Gold Standard accreditation and delivering our Alliancing frameworks.
Amy’s career began in the private sector within the security industry, but she soon found her calling in the public sector – driven by a passion for delivering procurement with purpose rather than just for profit.
She first joined a local authority in corporate services procurement before moving to Moat Homes as Procurement Delivery Partner for Property Services. There, she led asset management procurement projects, the digital switchover procurement, and set up internal frameworks.
Now at SEC, Amy is passionate about ensuring the right contractors are appointed to our frameworks and dynamic markets, and helping our customers deliver successful contracts to residents – with strong customer satisfaction at the heart of it all.
Outside of work, Amy lives in Hoo with her fiancé, is a proud mum, stepmum, and dog mum to her three boys – Archie, Jackson, and Duke. She’s currently planning her wedding for October next year, working on renovating her home and preparing to start an LLM in Procurement Law and Policy this September.
Welcome to the team, Amy – we’re proud to have you on board!
