The consultation is looking at:
You can read the consultation documents and draft legislation here - Part 2 Consultation on draft regulations to implement the Procurement Bill - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
How do I respond? Cabinet Office have asked that we all respond via the following survey - https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/IPTKU4/. There are 25 questions and you'll be asked to what extent you agree (or disagree) with the questions they have posed. Cabinet Office are not asking for your views on the policy intent itself, as this was covered in their initial consultation. What they need now is your views on how well the secondary legislation reflects the Procurement Bill and its intent.
What are the next steps? Once Cabinet Office analyses all the responses they will submit the final version of the secondary legislation to Parliament for their review. The Government will give 6 months' advance notice of the go-live date for both the Procurement Bill and its secondary legislation. We now expect the new regime to come into force Autumn 2024. If you'd like to speak to us about the changes in more detail please get in touch today - info@southeastconsortium.org.uk / 0208 036 0004.
