Re-benchmarking our Fire Remedial Works Framework

We’ve recently noticed a number changes in the price of fire doors. This is due to a variety of reasons arising from the way the testing regime for fire doors has developed. In order for us to always give our customers the best quality at competitive prices SEC has asked framework contractors to re-price the affected rates.

This affects lots 1 and 4 of our Fire Remedial Works framework.

We have substituted the revised rates and prices in place of the old ones and combined these costs with the original rates which have not changed. This revised price was then scored in accordance with the original rules of the framework and combines the original quality scores.

This has resulted in a re-ranking of the affected lots. Kier remain ranked number one, but the contractors below have shifted slightly.
