We’ve appointed Robert Clark as our new Director of Procurement Delivery

We’re excited to announce that Robert Clark has joined us as our new Director of Procurement Delivery this month.

Robert brings 15 years’ experience at Kent County Council across procurement, commercial and project management roles before moving into senior leadership. Most recently, Robert led TfL’s Highways and Utilities Procurement and Commercial function through a significant change programme. Across his career he has built experience in procurement, commercial and programme management, spanning highways, rail, construction, waste management and technology.

Robert will lead our Procurement Delivery team, responsible for mobilising and delivering procurement projects through our frameworks, strengthening our client relationships, governance and commercial performance. He’ll help us continue to raise the standard of how we deliver for our Members and will play a defining role in how SEC grows as we enter the next phase of our strategy.

Born and raised in Kent, Robert is also Chairman and coach of Mersham Sports Football Club. He’s also an avid golfer and still plays veterans’ football.

Speaking about his appointment, Robert said:

“I am excited to be appointed to this role to work with Jas and the Leadership Team to deliver SEC’s next chapter. My career has been leading commercial functions which focused on developing our colleagues, driving commercial value for customers and supporting our supply chains. This is a great opportunity to drive SEC’s new strategy and grow as an organisation.”

We’re delighted to have Robert on board and he’s looking forward to meeting many of our Members and suppliers over the coming weeks. He’ll be in Liverpool for Housing Summit next week and then at our Compliance AM event on 16 September.
