More than 200 students and lecturers from colleges across Kent will attend the EXPO as part of the partnership. They'll learn more about career routes into construction, meet employers, and find out about apprenticeships and other pathways on offer.
Why we're involved
Our frameworks already connect contractors with housing providers across the region. An essential part of strengthening the construction workforce is about recruiting and retaining the right talent. We've built a great training programme to support those already working in housing, and so supporting the emerging workforce is equally important. It's one small way we can help close the skills gap facing the sector.
Meet the Employer
At the centre of the partnership is our Meet the Employer initiative. It's a speed-networking session pairing students with industry professionals for a series of 15-minute conversations. Students get honest insight into different roles and what employers expect. Employers get a direct line to the people who'll shape the sector's future.
