With the rollout of our new Technical Services, it’s the perfect time to re-introduce the team behind the work.
Our Technical team works closely with both clients and colleagues across SEC - helping develop specifications, get contracts back on track and support procurement activity across a wide range of projects.
In this Q&A, Darrel Trigg, Lucy Oliver and Paul Hann share a little about what a typical day looks like for them, what they enjoy most about their roles, and a few things you might not know about them.

"A day in the Technical team is incredibly varied. From supporting our procurement colleagues to helping clients get their tender documents ready, there is never a dull day in Technical."

"Every day is different, which is something I really enjoy. We can spend time developing specifications and cost models, meeting with clients to talk through their procurement options, or working on tenders – reviewing clarifications, evaluating bids and supporting clients with training on how best to approach evaluation. We’ve also developed training materials for contractors based on our experience of tendering and previous roles to help enhance how they bid."

"We don’t really have a typical day in Technical. One day we might be preparing specifications and cost models for our clients, another supporting framework exercises with our procurement colleagues, or reviewing industry data to provide insight and support future planning."
