The strategy has been shaped by conversations with our members, suppliers, Board and colleagues. Thank you to everyone who took the time to talk to us. The message was clear: good procurement is about far more than a compliant route to market. Done well, it helps housing providers make better decisions, get better value and build stronger partnerships, and that ends up making a difference for residents.
The sector isn’t standing still. Housing providers are dealing with tougher regulation, tighter budgets, more complex decisions and workforce pressures, and everyone is starting from a different place. Some teams have plenty of procurement experience. Others want clearer routes and more hands-on support. Our strategy is built to support both.
01. Great procurement: means delivering reliable, well-managed frameworks and dynamic market, with guided routes for those who want more support and quicker routes for those who don’t
02. Stronger partnerships: means working more closely with members and suppliers, and sharing our expertise and learning where it’s needed
03. Insight and influence: means better data, benchmarking and market intelligence to help you plane, and a stronger sector voice
Members: simpler routes to market, stronger post-award and commercial support, better data and benchmarking, and more chances to learn and work with others.
Suppliers: better visibility of what’s coming, earlier and more regular conversations, clearer communication, and a say in how frameworks are shaped.
We’re not trying to do everything at once. Over the next 18 months we’ll focus on building the foundations for improvements to framework delivery, along with investments in our people and systems. After that we’ll build on it with deeper partnerships and richer insight. By 2031 we want to be a voice the sector turns to, and the best procurement framework provider in the South East.
Jas Rai, our Chief Executive Officer, said “Over the next five years, we will strengthen the services our members and suppliers rely on today, while building the insight, expertise and partnerships they will need tomorrow.”
